Trump losing? You're correct.

No president is ever safe from investigation, and when they fight back we know something is up. On December third, Josh Campbell from CNN wrote an article about president Trump attacking the FBI. "When you're attacking FBI agents because you're under investigation, you're losing." He used this quote that was originally for Hillary Clinton before the 2016 election, and directed it at Trump.
Campbell's intended audience seems to be anyone who is interested in Trumps criminal investigation, and has prior knowledge of the subject. He talks about the investigation, the people involved, and potential evidence against Trump. If you don't know the FBI agents or anything about Trumps ties with Russia, you'll be lost reading this piece. If we're talking credibility, there's a handy editors note at the top that tells you Campbell's previous jobs with the FBI and assistant to the bureau's director.
Trump calls the investigation a witch hunt and becomes more caustic the closer Mueller gets to uncovering something. Josh points out that Trump has maintained that he had, "nothing to do with Russia", but his former lawyer Michael Cohen, pleaded guilty to lying about Trump's business with Russia. Trump proceeded to call his ex-lawyer a "weak liar". The name calling is unnecessary, and yet we hear so much of it from our president. More evidence is brought up in the article that makes Trump seem suspicious. Mueller's evidence continues to show up and give hope to the ones wanting him out of office.
Josh Campbell does a great job of showing how Trump is attacking the FBI, and trying to make it seem like he is innocent. He was clear on his opinion, and had reliable evidence from Mueller to talk about. This article makes it clear that Trump is getting angry as the FBI uncovers more of his secrets. He's attacking for a reason; Maybe soon we'll find out what's really going on.

Criticizing Consent

In society today there is so much debate about rape and consent; Even with US government officials. An article from Carol Costello was posted on CNN to learn about consent from someone who is very familiar with this concept. The audience she's trying to reach is somewhat unclear to me, but it's between college fraternity boys or anyone interested in learning about consent. She talks to porn star Tasha Reign and brings a surprisingly little amount of information to the table. There are a couple examples of different rape claims and how people try to defend themselves, but overall it's not an article were learning much from. She brings up another blogger that talks about Kavanaugh for a brief second, and I think she should've written a little more about this. Her stand point seems to be that not enough people are taught about this subject, and I completely agree. She tells us how Reign does work by visiting college fraternities and educating men about how important it is to get consent, and more importantly, how to get it. This part of the article is helpful, and I wish is was more focused on those topics, but I understand she has to come up with other information to include. One of the cases she brings up includes six months of jail time for twenty minutes of action. She gave short statements from the two people involved and said that the attacker had an outrageous argument when you read the victims statement. Overall this article could've been more government focused, but she used credible sources and good arguments. Costello did a good job of letting us know that there are actions being taken. It's sort of like shes speaking for a group by saying we know we messed up with this sort of education, and were trying to fix it now.

Trump Jokes about serious matters

An editorial from the writers at the Houston Chronicle caught my eye with the title of "Houston after Harvey should be a National Priority. Trump made us a punchline." This editorial tells us how Trump repeatedly jokes about serious issues.
After these two horrible hurricanes  President Trump is joking about the U.S Coast Guard rescuing thousands of people. He twists the truth to say people went out on their boats in Texas to watch the hurricane and it didn't work out too well. The editorial has several topics and times when Trump joked unnecessarily and disrespected serious issues. A must read for those who want to see Trump making a fool of himself.
